Commercial Photo, Video, and Creative Direction for Brands

Based in Jacksonville, I help businesses create stronger visual content by connecting strategy, creative direction, photography, and video production. That can mean a brand film, commercial photo assets, an interview, a campaign concept, a script review, or a shoot plan built from existing brand guidelines.

You’ll work directly with the person shaping, shooting, and editing the work. That means fewer handoffs. Clearer judgement. A tighter creative thread. That all combines to mean less creative drift, and more on-brand content.

The goal is not to chase the hype train. The goal is to make visual work that still represents your brand when the trend cycle is over.

Need a shooter, a creative director, or both?

Commercial Photo and Video Production

Brand films, interviews, product/lifestyle, event coverage, website assets, social

cuts.

Creative Direction

Shot planning, tone, pacing, lighting approach, visual consistency, campaign fit.

A lot of weak commercial content does not fail because the footage looks bad. It fails because the idea was vague, the message was thin, the script was not ready, the brand guidelines were ignored, or no one asked where the final piece was supposed to live. That is where I can help before production begins.

A camera can only solve the problems that have already been thought through.

SELECTED WORK

GORUCK

THE RUCKING COMPANY

At the end of 2013, I discovered GORUCK through a desire to challenge myself by participating in their 12 hour endurance events. Shortly after, I began capturing photos of the events for fun, and transformed that into a full time job as their videographer and photographer in 2015. After leaving the company full time in 2020 to pursue freelance content creation, I have still provided the vast majority of the imagery that they use for their digital media.

Shooting for GORUCK has involved capturing content anywhere from a controlled studio setting, to late nights in various cities around the country, to 14,000 foot mountaintops in Colorado, and in frequently austere and incredibly challenging media conditions. It’s helped me to become incredibly flexible and adaptable to whatever a project might unexpectedly call for.

JaxCo Furniture

JaxCo is a locally owned and operated furniture store, with a sister store in Nashville, Tennessee. Since they’ve opened in 2019,
I’ve served as the primary brand creator, developing advertisements, product explanations, and brand videos that highlight the ways that JaxCo gives back to the Jacksonville community at large.

Reason Magazine

Provided camera operations and support for interview and farm footage of Dean Black.

Mayo Clinic

Acted as a vendor for Media Support Services at Mayo Jax, covering staff lifestyle activities, student events, and interviews using Mayo’s ARRI Amiras.

Again Faster

I acted as a primary photo and video creator for content produced both in the world and within the AF studio space.
